Photos 362-365 (366)

Yes I’ve somehow managed to add in an extra photo which has messed up my numbering but I promise you that new years eve was the last day… because I started on new years day 2009…

At some point I may go back and find where it went wrong but for now I’m just very pleased to have got to the end of the 365 challenge, and only having missed 1-2 days I don’t think that bad at all!

So, on to the last 5 pics…

Day 362 – Playing Monopoly… Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without Monopoly coming out!

Day 363 – One of my favorite “non Dad bought” presents – Monkey socks from Danny’s mum.

Day 364 – A walk around the “walk” to burn off some of that turkey… Last scenic view of Crete for 2009!

Day 365 – Scrabble… Games just have to be played over Xmas/ new year!

Day 366** which should really be 365 ** – Finishing how I started, with a pic of my diary.

Would I do the 365 photo a day challenge again? Noooo… I don’t think so! My life just isn’t interesting enough to find a good pic a day for a year and I struggled on what to take after about day 15!

Perhaps if I ever had kids I would do a photo a day of the child for a year… or even a kitten… as I’m more likely to have kittens than children!

Photo a Day 354-361

The run up to Christmas! and can I just say I know my numbers are wrong but I can’t quite work out where I went wrong, so when we get to the last day of 365 photos (new years eve) and I have either 364 or 367 please just humour me!!

Day 354 – Decorating the tree.

Day 355 – An angel / fairy I finally finished making… she’s been headless and wingless for about 3 years!

Day 356 – Fuinished wrapping the presents… including cat presents.

Day 357 – Christmas pudding making day (it’s vegi so can’t be made more than 2-3 days in advance)

Day 358 – More baking, Greek cakes/biscuits this time. Very pleased how they and indeed the piccy turned out – Perhaps my best food shot of the year?

Day 359 – Biscotti… Didn’t turn out as well as last year, perhaps as I had to add a lot more flour to get it unstuck from my hands / the bowl.

Day 360 – Christmas Day! Presents under the tree.

Day 361 – Boxing Day… More turkey, more cranberry sauce… more wine…

Day 346 – Collecting drift wood from the beach to burn on the fire…

Day 347 – Danny’s mum sent me an advent calendar… The first one I’ve had in… 9 years?!

Day 348 – That wood we collected from the beach… This is only a quarter of the pile.

Day 349 – Christmas card from Danny’s mum – She named all the cats on it! Love it

Day 350 -Having a bit of a rearrange – Took out the drawer from the tv cabinet and Van decided to take a closer inspection!

Day 351 -Moussaka – The first homemade version – My Dad’s not mine – and it was a success!

Day 352 – Warren and Co got their very own Christmas card from “Auntie” Sandi. They’ve never had a Christmas card of there very own before.

Day 353 -A table full of cats as I try to work… Look at the expression on Lloyds (grey cat) face – He’s a little bit scared of Cleo lol

Day 339 – Went Xmas shopping in Hania (Chania / Xania) and whilst there took pics of course!

Day 340 – All Christmas presents parcelled up and ready for the Post Office!

Day 341 – Lloyd had an abscess and was limping… These are his meds for the week!

Day 342 – My Dad is still painting the house… I’m still taking pics of him to sell as stock lol.

Day 343 – Drew Scott a new map that combined mine and my Dads drawings… It’s now on the fridge waiting for him to walk in.

Day 344 – Translating Greek xmas recipes… With help from Thomas.

Day 345 – Rain…. sooo much rain Not going outside the front door!

Day 331 -Berries at the bottom of the garden…

Day 332 -Round 1 of the Christmas wrapping… nothing compared with what’s to come!!

Day 333 -Henry under the car.

Day 334 -Red leaves fallen to the ground…

Day 335 – My Dad has been doing more painting things including filling in all the cracks…. Sooo many on this house.

Day 336 – A nice clean fridge, ready for Xmas.

Day 337 -My feet have been so cold I’ve taken to wearing my boots inside all day. Not a very flattering angle for a photo though…

Day 338 – Going into town… Note the blue sky… The rest of Dec has been very wet

Day 325 – A new recipe I tried out, but then forgot to photo until I’d already eaten half of it! Pasta, ham and roasted broccoli in a cream cheese sauce.

Day 326 – Baking Day – Chocolate and hazelnut muffins

Day 327 -Poorly Lloyd. He hurt his foot/leg so had to be nursed in the “ill bed” with a blanket and cat sized pillow for comfort.

Day 228 -Learning to knit… again.

Day 329 -Warren and Van… Warren has actually put himself between Van and Cleo (who was under the table) so that the two girlies don’t get fighting…

Day 330 – Geraniums… Just because!

Day 317 – Baby praying mantis on the curtain – So small it was hard to get him (or her) in focus.

Day 318 – Making a website for Danny’s Dad…

Day 319 – The remains of a squeezed orange… I was making a chocolate orange cake.

Day 320 – Sweeping the chimney with a home made (bamboo) brush… It worked perfectly and was free!!

Day 321 – Lloyd striking yet another pose. I then “artified” him in photoshop. Quite pleased with it… Canvas prints I’m thinking!

Day 322 – Garden “snippy” tools. I like to snip at the plants.

Day 323 – A small scorpion (or at least that type of insect) found in the wood pile. Scary looking things… I took the pic then ran lol

Day 324 – A huge huge huge praying mantis on the pool wall. This pic just doesn’t show how large he was.

Day 310 – 316

Day 310 – Warren took over my “elbow cushion” as it’s just the right width for him. Lucky it’s a saturday so no laptop work to be done!

Day 311 – I was trying to take a pic of my cup of tea and choc bar balanced on my notebook as a kind of typical sunday afternoon look but it was such a dreadful, dreadful photo that I had to “abstract it”.

Day 312 – Photo editing day… Finally got around to editing the reservoir pics from May, which I took before I left for England!

Day 313 – Super busy. Look at the state of my diary pages!

Day 314 – Sleepy Mr Warren Bunny. (His full name is Mr Warren Wozza Bunny!! and his wife is Cleo Chloe Patra Bunny. Lol.

Day 315 – An empty wasp nest… Very small.  They built it on a cactus spike but then I suppose because I kept going to look they decided to move house and/or never finished it!

Day 316 – Food shopping in Lidl.

Day 304 – Van’s pretty white feet – She used to have a tabby toe as a kitten but looks like that must be on the other foot unless it’s vanished!

Day 305 – My Dad sawing up wood for the fire.

Day 306 – Greek yoghurt with honey… Not the most appetizing of photos, tasted better than it looks!

Day 307 – Crisps. (aka potato chips!) I’m a total crisp addict. Very confusing with the language thing though… Why are chips in English actually Fries. and Crisps are chips in America. Mind you I only discovered recently that biscuits in America are  not actually “cookies” … But that’s not really relevant to this photo!

Day 308 – A broken starfish found on the beach… It may not be perfect but it’s the best beach treasure I’ve found in quite a while!

Day 309 – These are some of the books that had to be posted back home as I couldn’t get them all in my suitcase! We now desperately need a new bookcase!
